New RDPE grant launches to support energy storage on English farms

A grant funding energy storage equipment on farms is available from DEFRA as part of the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) Countryside Productivity Scheme.

This grant aims to improve farm productivity by funding up to 40% of the capital cost of machinery and equipment such as energy storage. By installing energy storage machines, farmers can make better of use the renewable energy they generate and significantly reduce their electricity bills.

redT energy is working with farmers in England to help with the RDPE grant submission process. After running an energy storage assessment for the project, we model the farm’s financial returns, design a storage scheme and even help draft the application.
